Brand DNA – Your strategic foundation
Your Brand DNA is the foundation of everything you’ll create in iVisual. It defines the key elements that make your brand unique, from its color psychology and visual codes to its personality, audience, and positioning. Once set, it becomes the north star for all packaging and identity decisions.
Why it matters
Without a clear Brand DNA, packaging decisions can feel inconsistent or subjective. With one in place, every new design is automatically aligned to your strategic intent.
How to create your Brand DNA
- Access the module
- If you don't have a brand DNA created, it's the only thing you can do. Your dashboard will guide you through this first step.
- Every brand only has one brand DNA. As a Company or Brand Admin you can always edit the brand DNA.
- Fill in the guided sections
- Brand values, target audience, competitive field...
- Some questions can be hard, but they are made to let you think thoroughly about your brand.
- You'll only do it once in a long time, we advice you to take your time, together with your team.
- Save and publish
- Once saved, you will see your Brand DNA which you can download to share with designers or team members outside the tool.
- You will be guided to create a Product DNA before you can use the following modules: Identity Studio, Scan, Compare.
💡 Tip: A strong Brand DNA makes it faster to ideate and ensures all team members work from the same blueprint.
